What is re-origin?

re-origin is a science-based, self-directed neuroplasticity training program and supporting community specially designed to help people who suffer from chronic conditions such as anxiety, depression, pain, chemical or food sensitivities, and fatigue get back to living happy and healthy lives.

The re-origin Backstory

At age 25, Ben Ahrens, a semi-professional surfer, became bedridden for over 3 years with Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease. Up until that time, he’d dedicated himself to living and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle as a trainer and an athlete. But despite his best efforts and conventional medical treatment, Ben found himself truly stuck - unable to get better or make a full recovery.

Then he came across neuroplasticity

While attending an online class in neuroanatomy via UC Berkeley to better understand his own brain and condition, Ben was exposed to the extraordinary results that applied neuroscience or “neuroplasticity training” had demonstrated with chronic pain, physical rehab, and even immune related conditions. It was at this point that a lightbulb went of in Ben’s head where he realized the brain as the “chief orchestrator” of all mental, physical, and emotional processes. Rather than seeking out further doctors to address his mysterious symptoms, Ben set out to heal himself, and equipped himself with an entirely new approach.

In the years that followed, Ben sought out and consulted (and now works with) top neuroscientists and cuing edge doctors from all over the world. His eventual success with recovering his own health (Ben has remained 100% healed for over 10 years now) led him to form The Brain Trust Advisory Board which now serves as a cornerstone of re-origin. Together, they’ve developed a program and process capable of replicating these results at scale, for a wide range of debilitating conditions.

What we do

We bring together people determined to regain their full health and return their true unencumbered selves, to empower and motivate each other, so that we can retrain our brains back to full health and happiness.

Our Core Beliefs

We believe that limbic system impairment is partly or wholly responsible for people feeling as though they’ve ‘blown a fuse’ and are stuck in states of anxiety, depression, fight, flight, and fatigue. Furthermore, we believe that such a response is the product of neural conditioning during times of stress and can be ‘rewired’ using the self-directed retraining techniques in this program.
